Generations Quilt Shop

For those of you who loved the Siblings Block of the Month that we completed several years ago, or were sad that you missed out, we are going to be starting a new block of the month project from the same designer, Yellow Creek Quilt Designs.  We will be doing the project in 2 different sizes – a wall hanging made with 6” blocks, or a twin size using 12” blocks.

The fabrics used will mainly be from the Moda Kansas Troubles Lines of fabric – golds, burgundies, darks green and blues.  The Wall Hanging Sample is almost completed and we will have sample blocks at the shop.

There are 24 total blocks in the quilts.  Each month, you will receive enough fabric to make 2 blocks, as well as the directions for the block. At the end of the program, you will have all of the blocks needed to complete the center of the quilt.  Borders are not included, but pick up all 12 kits and you will receive a coupon for the fabric necessary to finish the project. 

Cost?

We are offering three different options for the project:

1.      Wall hanging – 30” x 41” finished size.  There is a $6.00 sign-up fee. Each month the kit will cost $6.00 and will include enough fabric and the patterns for 2 blocks. There will be no charge for the December kit.

2.      Twin Size – 58” x 82” finished size.  There is an $11.00 sign-up fee.  Each month the kit will cost $11.00 and will include fabric and patterns for 2 blocks.  There will be no charge for the December kit.

3.      Can’t decide between the two?  Sign up for both and receive a discount!  If you want to make both the wall-hanging and the twin, the sign – up fee will be $15.50.  Each moth the kit will cost $15.50 and will include enough fabric and the patterns to make 2 – 12” blocks and 2 – 6” blocks.

When does the BOM begin?

We will be having a kick off meeting on Saturday, January 15^th at 11 am.  We will be going over the pattern, answering questions and demonstrating the Easy Angle Ruler – which is needed to complete the quilt.
