Exciting News – we are starting a new quilt club – featuring the Civil War Journals block of the month by Homestead Hearth.  The program is a little different this year in that you have choices!  Not interested in making another bed size quilt?  You don’t’ have to.  Using the fabric provided you may either make a single quilt, finishing 84” x 102” or 4 quilts, ranging from 44” x 44” to 51” x 60”.

How it works:  During the first 2 months of each quarter you will make blocks.  The third month of the quarter you will need to decide whether to set the block aside to make a queen size quilt in month 12, or complete one of four smaller quilts.

We also wanted to keep it interesting – and have decided to challenge you!  The third month of each quarter you will also receive a pattern and fabric to make an additional miniature quilt.  The patterns we will be using are From My Heart to Your Hands by Lori Smith.

We are structuring the project as a quilt club – we will have a monthly meeting the third Saturday of every month.  Come in, we can talk about history, answer questions and of course bring your show and tell.

To sign up and reserve your spot, we are asking for a $20 sign up fee.  The cost of each month is $29.99 and includes the pattern, the fabric to make the Civil War Journals project (or projects) including the binding(s) AND the pattern and fabrics to make $ bonus miniature quilts.  The first meeting is January 21^st, 2012 at 10:30am.
