Generations Quilt Shop

We saw this beautiful BOM quilt and knew we had to make it! Fabrics are by Faye Burgos for Marcus and the quilt is designed by Vicki Bellino of Bloom Creek. The colors are russet, gold, pumpkin, sage and brown which makes the quilt perfect for late summer and into the winter season.

The program will run for 6 months, starting in April and ending in September. Block construction is simple, and uses Strip-it fabric in some of the blocks. There is some beginner level appliqué which can be completed by hand or fused.

The project includes the patterns and all fabric for the top and binding.  Backing is not included.  We will be having a kick off meeting on April 16 to go over the patterns and the use of Strip-It.  We will also offer a beginning hand appliqué demonstration and “sit and sew” in May (date to be determined.) 

Cost?

There is a $26.50 sign-up fee. Each month the kit will cost $26.50. There will be no charge for the final September kit.

When does the BOM begin?

The kick off meeting to go over the pattern is scheduled for April 16, at 11 am.  We have photos of the quilt and the center of the quilt is completed and hanging in the shop.  We are taking signups now, and will be limiting the number of participants – so come on in and signup at your earliest convenience.
